Leicester City vs Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have only lost once [vs. Arsenal] in their last eight games and have the best away record in the English top-flight with seven wins in nine games.

And although the midfielder acknowledged the quality of Spurs, he has no fear that his side can clinch a positive result at the King Power Stadium.

“They are really good. They are in form this season and at the moment they are really in form too. They’ve got qualities,” Ndidi told club website.I have no fear because I know we will do well. There is just something about this game where I know we are going to do well.

“We are at home and everyone is ready. I think it’s going to be a tough one, it’s never going to be easy, but I think we are going to come out well.”Ndidi also stated that they have improved on the way they start games with the help of their manager Claude Puel.

“If you remember at the beginning of the season, we conceded goals in less than five minutes into the game but now it’s getting better. I think we are improving,” he continued. As well, what the manager said is right because we need to actually start the game quickly and put pressure on the opponents, but I think everything will go well.

The Foxes are on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions, with their last defeat in October. They are ninth in the league log with 22 points from 15 games and the 21-year-old believes they deserve more.

“Honestly, we deserve more. We should have done more because you know the games we drew and the games we lost so I think we should have done more,” he added. We should have climbed more than ninth now. It’s something we should learn from and something we have to move on and learn from, these mistakes.”

Manchester City: City has some big injury concerns, but nothing entirely new. Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy are still out injured, but that hasn’t slowed this team down due to the ridiculous depth. The expectation for each match is three points, without two key players or not.

Chelsea: The Blues enter this game healthy and with no major injury concerns. But there is a concern, and it’s the form. After an undefeated start to the season, Chelsea has lost two of their last three and are trying to stay in the title fight. Three points will be needed here to do so.City goes on the road but can’t get the victory, as a late set piece goal from Chelsea sees the game end in a draw.

West Ham vs Crystal

The two teams come into this fixture with only five points separating the teams just two positions apart. West Ham sit in 13th, while Palace sit in 15th in the league.

West Ham come into the game on a two win streak after beating Cardiff in the midweek games 3-1, while Palace enter the game after losing 3-1 away to Brighton in the midweek games.

West Ham will be without the injured Marko Arnautovic after being injured and taken off in the game against Cardiff on Tuesday night with West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini confirming the Austrian forward is set to miss up to a month out due to the injury. They will also be without Jack Wilshere who is still not 100% fit after his ankle operation. Ryan Fredericks who is still out after the Huddersfield game and also will be without Winston Reid, Andriy Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez and Manuel Lanzini still long term absentees.

Crystal Palace will be without Scott Dann and Connor Wickham who both lack match fitness while also missing striker Christian Benteke who is out with a knee injury.

West Ham will be forced into making a change for the starting formation this week with both Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll looking to fill Marko Arnautovic’s vacant striker position.

However they could make more changes with Fabian Balbuena looking to come back into the defence after being forced to miss the Cardiff game with a dead leg. Pablo Zabaleta could also return in the defence after being rested in the mid week game.

Cheikhou Kouyate could be set to face his former team for the first time since moving to the South London team in the summer transfer window.

Storylines

Manchester United: United’s Anthony Martial has a light hamstring injury but is expected to recover in time for this game. Defenders Luke Shaw and Phil Jones are in a race to be fit, while fellow defender Victor Lindelof is out due to injury.

Fulham: The club is healthy but striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is just one yellow card away from receiving a one-match suspension, so he’ll need to be careful. He’ll pick up the yellow at some point this season, but Fulham can’t be cute with it as it is in the thick of the relegation battle.

Following a poor run of form, Southampton appointed Ralph Hasenhüttl on Wednesday afternoon, beginning a two-and-a-half-year deal. The former RB Leipzig boss arrives in England following a successful stint at the German Bundesliga side, where he guided them to a second-place finish during his first season in charge. However, he could only manage a sixth-place finish during the last  campaign and departed the club in the summer.

Prior to his time with the Red Bulls, the Austrian managed another German side, Ingolstadt 04, who he joined in October 2013. The 51-year old led them to promotion to the Bundesliga during their 2014-15 season after they were crowned champions of the German Second Division. He successfully secured survival in the following season with an 11th place finish, where he called time at the club, before taking charge of RB Leipzig in July 2016. Hasenhüttl has also managed a further two German teams including Spielvereinigung Unterhaching and VfR Aalen. Whilst at VfR Aalen, he won the German Third Division in their 2011-12 season.

Former Saints’ boss Mark Hughes secured the services of four new acquisitions in the summer transfer market including Stuart Armstrong, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Angus Gunn and Jannik Vestergaard – the most expensive of the four with a transfer fee of £18 million.

Armstrong signed from Celtic in the summer and netted in the Saints’ last home game to Manchester United, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Southampton let a two goal lead slip, thus meaning that they remain the only side in the top-flight not to have secured a home win all season.

A sublime finish from Spaniard Juan Cala secured three crucial points for the Bluebirds in our last outing against this weekend’s counterparts.

The home side began the encounter on the front foot but failed to carve out any clear cut opportunities as the Bluebirds held firm in defence.

However, the Saints nearly found a way through Gastón Ramírez. Adam Lallana fed the Uruguayan the ball but the forward could only watch his shot cannon against the crossbar after it deflected off Steven Caulker.

Scotsman David Marshall was then forced into action by Liverpudlian Rickie Lambert. His dipping free-kick looked destined for the net, only for the outstretched palm of Marshall to keep the Saints at bay.

As the Saints failed to capitalise on their dominance they were left to pay the price with 25 minutes left to play. The south-coast side failed to clear a Bluebirds corner to safety, before Cala controlled well with his chest, arrowing his effort into the top right-hand corner of the Saints’ net to hand the visitors the lead.

The Saints applied a sustained period of pressure on City’s defence in the late exchanges and went close to rescuing a point through Sam Gallagher and Nathaniel Clyne, but the away side remained resolute.

Rickie Lambert’s most successful spell came during his time at Southampton. Lambert made over 200 appearances for the south-coast side from 2009-2014, netting 106 goals in the process. His impressive goal scoring record at Southampton earned him a dream move to his boyhood club Liverpool in June 2014. During his short stint in Merseyside, the striker featured 25 times for the Reds and netted on two occasions. After one season at Anfield, Lambert departed the club to join West Bromwich Albion in July 2015 before signing for the Bluebirds on deadline day in August 2016. The 11-time England capped international netted four times during his stint at the Bluebirds before he retired.

Another forward who has had spells at both clubs is Trinidad & Tobago forward Kenwyne Jones. The Trinidadian netted 19 goals for the south-coast side during his stint at the club in over 70 appearances before joining Sunderland in August 2007. In January 2014, the 34 year-old joined the Bluebirds and scored on his debut in a 2-1 win over Norwich City. During his spell in South Wales, the former Potters’ striker scored 17 goals in 64 appearances.

Unai Emery’s side threw the lead away twice in midweek to draw with Manchester United but it saw them take four points from a tough week of fixtures after their victory over Tottenham.

Huddersfield Town: This team has only won two games all season long and is just a point above the relegation zone. After 10 points in 15 games, they are probably going to need about 30 points in their final 23 games to feel good about their chances of staying in the top flight. Now, nobody can beat Arsenal as of late, but getting a point feel like a victory.

Arsenal vs. Huddersfield prediction

The Gunners get back to their winning ways after the draw against United and put a few goals past Huddersfield.Alexandre Lacazette: The Frenchman has scored two goals in the last two games which have proven crucial in Arsenal’s win in the North London Derby and their draw at Old Trafford in midweek. The strikes took Lacazette’s tally to six goals from nine games, and with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looking weary at Old Trafford the Gunners will be looking to the former Lyon forward for some firepower as the busy Christmas period approaches.

Burnley vs Brighton

Burnley and Brighton edged closer to their respective targets in the Premier League as they drew at Turf Moor.Seventh-placed Burnley failed to secure the win that – combined with Leicester’s defeat at Crystal Palace – would have guaranteed European football next season.

But Sean Dyche’s side need just one more point from their last two games to secure their place in the Europa League. The Clarets had two penalty appeals for handball turned down in the first half, but both – against Shane Duffy and Bruno – would have been harsh on the visitors.

The draw means Brighton – without a win in six league games – slip to 14th, but they are five points clear of the relegation zone with three matches to play.

With Leicester taking themselves out of contention with a 5-0 defeat at Crystal Palace, Burnley can start making tentative plans for European football next season. Though Everton can match their points total after a 2-0 win at Huddersfield, they would need to beat both Southampton and West Ham – and make up a 15-goal deficit.

Burnley would also have to lose to Arsenal and Bournemouth, and with just one loss in their past eight matches, back-to-back defeats seem unlikely. They kept Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan on his toes in the first half at Turf Moor, but Ashley Barnes’ effort and Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s free-kick lacked the quality needed to beat the Australia international.

And the Clarets’ year-long wait for a penalty goes on, with Duffy and Bruno having little chance to get out of the way of close-range efforts struck at them. The only real negative for Burnley was an injury to Chris Wood, with the striker forced off after 66 minutes with a foot injury that required stitches.

Premier League for Brighton?

At the other end of the table, Brighton have fixtures left against Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool as they look to remain in the top flight. That will not make pleasant reading for Brighton boss Chris Hughton, whose side are now on a run of 11 away games without a win since beating Swansea in November.

They have failed to score in eight of those games, and will visit Etihad Stadium and Anfield after hosting Manchester United on Friday night. And if his side are to get anything out of those trips, Hughton may need to rethink his policy of starting Leonardo Ulloa ahead of Glenn Murray in the lone striker role.

That is not to say Brighton would have been heading south with three points instead of just one had Murray played for the first 66 minutes, but the English striker is more of a presence in the final third.

Brighton manager Chris Hughton speaking to Match of the Day: “Certainly a point we deserved. I thought we were the better side, more likely to score. Burnley are very effective and we had to defend well, but I thought we had the better opportunities.

“We have the points in the bag and those below us have to win games. We will go into every game with the possibility of getting the points in all of them – we have every chance if we go into the games with the endeavour we did today.”

Burnley boss Sean Dyche speaking to Sky Sports: “It was a game of huff and puff, lacking quality. A lot of endeavour, good habits and doing the basics. It’s hard to question these lads, you have the odd dip in form and to come out with a point is a good measure.

“It’s still a good point, still a clean sheet, but not the performance we’re used to. I’m very pleased with the whole season, to say the least.”

Burnley travel to Arsenal in their next Premier League match on Sunday, 6 May (16:30 BST), after Brighton host Manchester United on Friday, 4 May (20:00 BST).
